The property is fully furnished with all mod cons, there is parking for up to 3 vehicles & storage for surf boards and golf clubs.
The property also has a sunny south facing patio and BBQ area.
|Bedrooms:||Bedroom 1 has a double bed, located upstairs.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds, located downstairs next to the shower and toilet.
Bedroom 3 consists of solid pine bunk beds, suitable for adults as well as children and is upstairs next to the bedroom 1.
|Bathrooms:||The main bathroom is spacious with a separate walk-in shower cubicle along with a bath and toilet. It also has a heated towel rail.
Downstairs, there is a toilet/shower room, again with heated towel rail.
|Kitchen:||The kitchen is well equipped with large american fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob and microwave.|
|Living Rooms:||The house's main living area is open plan. There is a TV with freeview and DVD player. The dining area seats up to 6 people. The dining/living area is very light and spacious. Patio doors lead you out to a south facing garden.|
|All Duvets and bed linen included. Together with hand towels and bathmats. (Bath & Beach towels available for hire).
Mid week maid service available on request.
Notes on accommodation
The property is centrally heated and is all included in the hire. It is ideal for children and elderly. Access to both the property and beach is flat and very manageable for all.
The downstairs bedrooms & bathroom facilities are ideal for those who struggle with stairs.
The property has not been adapted for wheelchair users but the downstairs twin bedroom and shower/toilet makes it ideal for those with mobility issues.
The property has parking for up to 2 cars. The Cottage has a lovely sunny southfacing patio area to the rear of the property. There is an outside dining table for 6 people. Sun loungers and parasol are also provided. To the side of the property, there is a clothes drying area.
Croyde beach is 400m level walk. Stunning, famous surfing beach that picks up most swells. At low tide it can become world class. Plenty of rockpools and sand dunes for young children.
Putsborough is 5 mins drive. Another great surfing beach but more sheltered hence smaller than Croyde. Especially popular with families.
Saunton is 8 mins drive. Huge beach is a favourite amongst long boarders and kite surfers.
Numerous other beaches within 30 mins drive.
Croyde is 2 miles from Saunton Golf Club. Saunton boasts two magnificent classic links courses both featuring in Golf World's Top 100 courses. They have been described by Nick Faldo as the 36 most enjoyable holes in England.
The championship East hosts many prestigious amateur events and is famed for it's unremittingly tough par 4's. Accurate driving is a prerequisite to achieve low scores. A task that becomes increasingly more difficult with wind strength!
Whilst the newer West is slightly shorter and generally "tighter" than the East, it also presents a stiff challenge with a premium on placement and shotmaking rather than length.
The location and terrain of Saunton enables both courses to be played virtually 365 days per year on proper tees and greens in weather when any other course would be closed.
Alternatively take a step back in time and visit Royal North Devon (20 miles) to play England's oldest golf course.
There are several other less demanding courses in the vicinity.
Caddying available for Saunton and other local courses available at additional cost.

A week long beginners or improvers surfing course including tuition and all necessary equipment can be arranged in conjunction with a local surf school.

Exeter Airport 60 miles. Bristol Airport 95 miles.
Barnstaple Station 10 miles (bus service available). Tiverton Parkway station is 40 miles. Owners can provide a shuttle to either station at additional cost.
Croyde is approx 1 hr. drive from M5 jctn 27. A car is recommended to maximise your enjoyment and time in North Devon but if you were to arrive by public transport Croyde offers plenty of activities to fill a week without the need for a car.
The cottage is ideally situated in Croyde equidistant from the beach and the village centre both of which are less than half a mile. The village has three pubs (all serving food), several restaurants, a Post Office, a village store, horse riding stables and numerous surf shops.
The village is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to Exmoor National Park. the North Devon Coastal Path and Braunton Burrows which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Braunton (5 miles), Britain's largest village has supermarkets, banks, several pubs, restaurants, takeaways and not surprisingly lots of shops selling surf related clothing and hard wear.
Barnstaple (9 miles) is a busy market town famed for it's pannier market.
Further afield North Devon generally offers several National Trust sites, and interesting days out too numerous to list. It's main attraction has always been it's stunning coastline and beautiful countryside.
Bookings can be made either by email or phone. A 1/3 deposit is taken to secure your required dates. A Damage Deposit of £100 will also be required by cheque which will be returned to you very shortly after your departure. Thereafter, full payment should be made 8 weeks before arrival.
House swap considered. Must sleep 5 any location considered, must have mod cons.
For the remainder of 2010, bookings are from Saturday - Saturday. However, 2011 bookings will run Friday-Friday. Arrival time is 4pm and departure will be 10 am. If there is no follow on booking that day, departure time can be flexible.
